“She needed oxygen. Too little and she wouldn’t make it through the night. He monitored her and made sure her oxygen levels were where they needed to be. Too much oxygen though and the tank would run out too quickly. There wouldn’t be enough to replace it. Her tank would run out overnight. He knew to time it with the other 15 patients he was watching over that night. None of them could run out of oxygen overnight. He had to maintain his supply of oxygen tanks just right.”
Currently we have a team dedicated to oxygen management. Their training has been through apprenticeship and formal education. They have learned about the importance of oxygen for our patients. They work hard, and are dedicated to keeping patients connected to what they need.
